Zini Beach ‘n Bush event
Join us for one of KwaZulu-Natal's most scenic trail running events as the annual Zini Beach ‘n Bush Trail Run returns to the beautiful village of Mtunzini on Saturday, 9 August 2026, online entries only!
Hosted by the Mtunzini Athletics Club, this much-loved event takes runners through breath-taking indigenous forests, coastal dunes, pristine beach sections and flowing single-track trails, showcasing the very best of Mtunzini's spectacular natural beauty.
Choose your adventure, with 27km, 17km, 12km and a 5km family fun run option available. The fun-run entries are taken on the day only.
All routes start and finish at the Mtunzini Athletics Club clubhouse, where runners, families and supporters can enjoy a fantastic race-day atmosphere.
This year's official event shirt features the iconic Hadeda Ibis, one of Mtunzini's most recognisable birds and a symbol of the area's unique character. A limited range of custom Versus Beach & Bush socks, designed especially for the event and the Mtunzini Athletics Club, will also be available for purchase.
